The Metric S is the best skate that DC has ever made. It's the next step in our long history of making performance-focused skate shoes. It was made with feedback from the pro team and has some really game-changing technology. The cupsole of the Metric uses some of the most advanced skate tech we've ever made. Together, the brand-new IMPACT-FOAMTM midsole, the EVA strobel board, and the IMPACT-ALGTM insoles provide unmatched safety and comfort from impact without reducing board feel. We also used our new 20% recycled RE/GRIPTM RUBBER for the outsole, which makes it lighter and just as sturdy as regular rubber. The upper is made with pure skate performance in mind. It has high-abrasion, high-breathability mesh pieces that can handle grip tape and still let air flow to the feet. The Metric is made with SUPER STITCH threads and hot melt TPU inserts to make it last even longer. Every part of this shoe was made by skateboarders and for skateboarders... So when we say "1000X More Skateable," we really mean it.
