CREATURE

Founded in 1994, Creature Skateboards is the brainchild of NHS, by Russ Pope, head of the SMA team. Jason Adams, Barker Barrett and Darren Navarrette were the first skaters, although Adams left quickly enough to help Pope from the Scarecrow brand. NHS was forced to put Creature on the shelves in the late 1990s but relaunched the company in the mid-2000s with Darren Navarette and Lee Charron sharing the team's management and creative direction of the company.
