The Half Cab has been around for 30 years. Skaters used scissors and duct tape to create the world's greatest skate shoe in 1992. They cut down their shoes to create something that could push skateboarding in the direction they desired, and thus the Half Cab was born. Skaters are still pushing forward three decades later. The Skate Half Cab '92 is a new take on a skate classic. The Skate Classics Half Cab '92 has been completely redesigned with skaters in mind to provide more of what skaters require for maximum progression. Some of the subtle differences to this iconic style include the new sidewall finish, checkerboard flag, and "Skateboarding" branding. The completely redesigned upper, which includes a moulded heel counter, locked-in tongue straps, and a recut of the DURACAPTM underlay, provides an essential fit that is more breathable and durable where skaters need it the most. The two-part foxing ensures increased board contact, and the redesigned gum rubber sole that made Vans famous has been improved with our SickStickTM rubber compound and an internal heel shank to deliver more grip, boardfeel, support, and durability. The upgraded design is completed by uppers made of durable suede and 6 oz canvas. The Skate Half Cab '92 gives you the look you want while also providing the performance benefits that real skaters require. Because skate classics are designed for skating. • INCREASED DURABILITY - DURACAPTM reinforced materials, deeper knurl texture on the toe bumpers, and higher sidewall heights provide a more traditional look while also increasing durability and protection. • COMPLETELY REDESIGNED UPPERS - Redesigned with a moulded heel counter and internal tongue straps for a more secure fit and board control. • LEGENDARY GRIP - Our new, proprietary SickStickTM gum rubber compound is the stickiest rubber we've ever made. • POPCUSH CUSHIONING - Our best impact protection and cushioning. POPCUSHTM energy return footbeds protect your feet while reducing leg fatigue during long skate sessions.
