Description and capabilities
Durable, practical, and utilitarian Harry's idea for this collection was influenced by his travels around Australia, with each piece built to withstand the rigours of life in the Outback.
The uppers of the Harry Bryant Destruct Mid VR3 are crafted from 100% organic cotton canvas and quality full grain leather. The VR3CushTM footbed and the new VR3WaffleTM outsole are produced from regeneratively generated natural rubber. The Harry Bryant Collection by Vans Surf embodies a spirit of exploration and a willingness to explore wherever the road leads.
Our team has set lofty sustainability objectives. All of our efforts, regardless of size, contribute to positive change. At least 30% of a product must be comprised of recycled, renewable, or regenerative materials in order to qualify for the VR3 Checkerboard globe mark.
PRODUCT FEATURES
• UPPER MATERIAL: 100% Organic Cotton Canvas and Full Grain Premium Leather. Vans leather items support the Leather Working Group's commitment to responsible manufacture.
• FOOTBED: In accordance with ASTM D6866-16, the innovative VR3CushTM footbed is created with at least 25% biobased EVA foam partially sourced from plants.
• OUTSOLE: All of the rubber used to construct the VR3WaffleTM outsole (60 percent of the compound) is regeneratively grown natural rubber derived from farms employing agricultural practises designed to increase biodiversity, boost water cycles, improve soil health, and/or absorb carbon. This new rubber compound was designed and manufactured to maintain the traction and durability for which Vans has been known since 1966.
