Effective August 29, 2025 (12:01 a.m. EDT), the U.S. suspends the de minimis exemption under 19 U.S.C. §1321. Low-value shipments (≤ USD 800) may now be subject to duties/taxes.

  • Courier shipments (UPS/FedEx/DHL, etc.): the carrier/broker may collect applicable duties, taxes, and brokerage before delivery (or bill later).
